Field manuals were initially used in the military. They outline useful skills and tactics for army personnel. Their use has gravitated into the business world. Our Field Manual was primarily inspired by former NAVY Seal Jocko Willink’s book Discipline Equals Freedom: Field Manual. We have paid homage to Willink’s influence by quoting him on the inside cover.

The Pixel Dreams (PD) Field Manual is a concise publication which outlines our values, our purpose, and our brand. It was created to encapsulate the central ideas behind the overall philosophy at PD. We have established eight values by which we hold ourselves accountable. (Read about our values here) Our purpose is to raise human intelligence and consciousness. This is known as our Massive Transformative Purpose (MTP). It is an aspirational process which ignites passion within individuals and groups and engages hearts and minds to work collaboratively towards a common goal. (Read about our MTP here) It is through our MTP that we are inspired to share with you our Field Manual, as well as future resources, tools, and ingredients that make the secret sauce of PD.

The PD Field Manual is, and always will be a work in progress. The current edition is born as a result of previous incarnations. As we move forward, we expect new revisions as we are continuously evolving, improving, and never finished (Kaizen). We believe it is more important that we get the content of our central messages out than to be concerned much about how it looks, or even spelling mistakes. Message trumps form.
