💰 Structure & Compensation
- Role type: Contract role, reporting to Project Manager & Office Manager.
- Duration: 1-week project (or as proposed by you).
- Compensation: Please propose your rate based on experience and estimated time required.
📣 About the Role

Pixel Dreams has a growing book collection across two office locations (North York and Downtown Toronto). We seek someone with the experience and care to improve our cataloging system. The role is independent and time-flexible. You may work evenings or weekends, provided you coordinate office access with our team.
You’ll work closely with our Office Manager and have full support to recommend the best systems for organization and classification. This includes identifying rare books, advising on storage and waiver protocols, dividing books across the two locations, and any other recommendations your book-loving heart and systems-minded brain create!
💼 Duties
- Catalogue and organize the PD book collection across two office locations in North York and Downtown Toronto.
- Classify books by topic, genre, or system of your recommendation.
- Identify rare or high-value titles requiring special care.
- Reference existing library catalogue. Bonus if familiar with Libib.
- Relocate books (as needed) between spaces.
- Provide a final record or summary of completed work.
📋 Qualifications
- Experience in library science, archival work, cataloging, or similar.
- Familiarity with book classification systems (Dewey, Library of Congress, or custom).
- Ability to assess book condition and value (including rare titles).
- Comfortable working independently and proposing efficient solutions.
