What is a hackathon?

A Hackathon is a team event that is equal parts sprint and endurance. All PD team members will work together, testing their individual skills and collaborative process — to come up with an idea and build it into a viable design project in a single day.

Etymology
The word “hackathon” is a portmanteau of the words “hack” and “marathon”, where “hack” is used in the sense of exploratory programming, not its alternate meaning as a reference to breaching computer security.

Who is involved??

Everyone on our team from our most junior interns to our CEO.

Why are we doing this?

To challenge our abilities as individuals and as a team. To push our team bonding and communication skills to the next level. To see what we can visualize and actualize as a team, under extremely tight timelines.
