This book was not a terribly enjoyable read. It was repetitive and to be honest, boring. The stories told in the book tended to be repeats of previous stories. Although this wasn’t my favourite book, I found it imparted some valid information.

The book is well structured, clear and was easy for me to read. Each chapter talks about a specific point, highlighting the lesson from learned and how to apply the lesson to a business setting. All of these points explain the concept of ‘Extreme Ownership’ – the leader is always responsible.

Although the book was highly organized it was a bit repetitive and lacked emotion.

Extreme Ownership is based on proven leadership methods of US Navy SEAL teams. The concepts are simple, not easy. The most important thing that responsible leaders must explain is: Why. Those being led must understand their commanders intent.

Each chapter is devoted to a different leadership principle including stories from both the battlefield and the corporate world. Know when to step-back and observe. In combat situations these reliable SOPs could literally save your life. The problems you face are yours to solve, but don’t forget about the rest of your team in the process.

Recommended for anyone eager to learn how to lead others with maximum effectiveness.

This is an amazing book! I recommend it to anyone who wants to take ownership of their life. Each chapter walks you through a different scenario and how they used specific leadership principles. I will definitely read this book many more times.

Another required read at Pixel Dreams. Written by two Navy SEALs, this book is a good old reality check coupled with a punch in the gut for anyone who likes to make excuses and blame others for their shortcomings in life and business. If everyone in the world read this book, it would be a better world by two-thousand fold.

An absolute pleasure to read. Extreme Ownership takes you right into the battlefield of Ramadi, Iraq where leadership is the difference between mission victories and failures, lives saved and lives lost. After each battlefield chapter are example chapters where battles are fought in boardrooms by CEOs and their frontline.

I’ve read dozens of leadership books in my life. Extreme Ownership brings a very unique perspective where life and death are the result of leaders’ decisions. Highly recommend.
