We’re all prescribed the same end. Seneca the Younger embraces this, meditates on this, and prepares for it throughout his life. This book is the culmination of that preparation. In these letters to his friend, Lucilius, Seneca challenges him and us, the readers, to see death as more than ‘the end’. It is a path to liberation, a method of control over one’s life, and the finale for which we must prepare throughout our entire life. Can’t wait to read it once more.
