An autobiographical memoir by holocaust survivor and doctor of the mind, Victor E. Frankl. While observing humans in the most depressing and brutal conditions, he realized the one thing that can’t be taken away is the choice of how you respond.
The book is divided into 2 parts, the first recalls real experiences in concentration camps, while the second part is theoretical, providing an introduction and discussion on ‘logotherapy’ – which is essentially “curing the soul by leading it to find the meaning of life.”
It is about the importance of hope and having something to live for. Everyone questions life’s meaning – this book will encourage you to find the answer within yourself. A life changing look at the dynamics between liberty and responsibility. Highly recommended.
