My second reading of The Art of Thinking Clearly; this was a great refresher about how the mind thinks; or thinks it thinks! About 310 pages, Rolf Dobelli walks us through 100 different mental construct and biasses that we all suffer from. A great read for both the avid reader as well as the novice. Dobelli’s writing is light hearted, and to the point. Chapters are about 2-3 pages, taking advantage of relevant research and historical anecdotes. A great book, especially for anyone who thinks of herself as ‘rational’.
Really enjoyed this book. In a fun and jovial way, hammered the point that we have less control over ourselves than we think. Understanding this is a path to greater self awareness and ultimately better decision making. I highly recommend The Art of Thinking Cleary, by Rolf Dobelli.
