Written by the undefeated samurai, Miyamoto Musashi (1584-1645), The Book of Five Rings gives readers a glimpse of samurai wisdom. Some practical (honour, decency, focus, sacrifice). Some very impractical (stab your opponent in the heart with the tip of your swords, swiftly, then twist…).
Overall, it’s a great read if you’re into Japanese culture, samurai, or chopping people down.
