The life story of Ricky Atkinson delves into political radicalism, gang culture, racial prejudice, boxing, make-up, bank robberies, the court system and prisons. Ricky becomes a solid rounder and leader of the notorious Dirty Tricks Gang. Running game and scheming big. After half a life in jail, Ricky turns around to guiding youth away from making the same mistakes.
It’s an action-packed page turner, told with humor and brutal honesty, even including some business tips for executives. Good reading for gaining a better understanding of how gangsters come up bitter. Two of the most amazing things about this book are that it’s true and that most of it happened around downtown Toronto.
