First of all, I would recommend this book in a second. It was well written and very well organized. It taught the reader not to avoid or go around the obstacles in their path but to face them head on. The book demonstrated how this approach to the obstacles in you life will lead to personal growth. The book was completely enjoyable and very well-written. I would read it again.
This book was very easy read, a lot of highlighting was done to this book. It doesn’t matter which stage, age, or time of life you’re at, you will walk away having learnt something. I highly recommend this book to EVERYONE!
The Obstacle is the way is a great pick for those looking to establish the right mindset for success. Roughly based on the philosophy of stoicism, the book provides many past examples of great individuals from all corners of the world and of different eras who’ve gone through ordeals and have come out better and stronger.
Through the examples of these individuals, it provides a solid foundation for overcoming life challenges: seeing things as they are, doing what you can and enduring what you must without losing hope.
Obstacle is the Way weaves stoic philosophy, stories from history, latin phrases and pop culture examples, to change your perceptions about the obstacles in your way. Every bump in the road presents a new opportunity to succeed even higher. My favourite section was entitled ‘Will’ about the endurance to persevere through it all.
The Obstacle is the Way is pure gold. Every page is pact with great lessons, stories, and actionable philosophies. I will read this book at least once a year. 201 pages – wish it was 1,000.
