So you want to know more?
Every summer, for as long as we can remember, the Pixel Dreams team (PDT) retreats to share another unforgettable team bonding experience lakeside. Moments from our retreat have been immortalized in these videos (though nothing can compare to taking in everything with your own eyes!)
This year 2021 is going to be the best one yet.
And how do we know this for sure?
☝️ We are going to PD cottage (it’s official) — a place our team can call home-away-from-home for years to come.
✌️ With our team doubled in size in the past year of working-from-anywhere, some of us haven’t met each other in person. Ever. That’s sort of weird for a company that loves hosting and gathering, giving bear hugs, cooking and cleaning together, singing and dancing like everyone is watching, plus other old fashioned things people do before the age of lockdowns. And so, this trip will be the first occasion for some of us to meet each other in person, and prove that we’re really not someone’s imaginary friend. Disclaimer: if you aren’t clear on required safety protocols, speak to your team lead.
🤟 There are always someone laughing so hard, they cry. You probably would want to see it for yourself. Maybe it would be you. Maybe it would be all of us this year.

The Waters
While Northern Ontario offers an abundance of natural lakes, few can rival the beauty of Sparrow Lake. Bordering the southern rim of the Canadian Shield between Muskoka and Simcoe County, Sparrow Lake offers a perfect combination of size and privacy. Big enough for boating and exploring, but small enough to avoid overcrowding, it’s ideal for swimming, boating and all water sports. As an added bonus, Sparrow Lake is connected to the world famous Trent-Severn waterway making it a boater’s paradise.
Location
Sparrow Lake is located at the south end of Muskoka making it a short 90-minute drive from Toronto via highway 400. The Muskoka region is a world-class 4 seasons playground. It offers numerous championship golf courses, Nordic and downhill skiing, dining, live theatre and snowmobiling. Whatever the season there is always something to do in Muskoka.
