Fireside Chat at Spiderum HQ 🇻🇳

Connecting teams, sharing perspectives, and building toward what’s next.

On the warm afternoon of June 23, our Hanoi crew, led by Khalid aka Dreams, made our way to Spiderum HQ. Founded in 2016, Spiderum has grown from a content platform into a vibrant ecosystem. It’s a place where young Vietnamese voices share knowledge, spark dialogue, and grow together.

We were welcomed by Spiderum’s co-founders, Viet Anh and Nga Levi, two daring builders shaping what it means to build culture, creativity, and community in a rapidly changing landscape. Walking into their office, we felt the energy of a young team in the messy middle of growing, ideas bouncing, projects in motion, hustle in the atmosphere.

We came to share, listen, and connect. The highlight of the day was a fireside chat between Viet Anh and Khalid, who spoke on growth, culture, and leadership (ideas that resonated deeply with this room full of youthful creatives).

Foundations, Culture, and Growth

Play the infinite game

Khalid reminded us that in business, as in life, there are two types of games: finite and infinite. The finite ones have clear rules and winners. The infinite ones are about staying in the game and growing stronger each day. Business is an infinite game, and our mission at PD is steady, resilient growth in service of our massive transformational purpose.

Build a championship culture

“Everyone wants to be on a championship team,” Khalid said, “but not everyone is ready to be in one.” That hit home. Culture, after all, isn’t built by accident. It’s designed, nurtured, and lived, from the top down and the bottom up. The right environment, much like a gym or a boxing ring, should push you. It should feel uncomfortable in the moment but you walk out stronger every day.

Lead with care

One moment stood out: “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” Leadership, we were reminded, is about raising standards, guiding growth, and focusing on ideas rather than personalities. The room was quiet at that moment, everyone weighing how much that truth reflected their own journey.

Grow through fire

From personal development to entrepreneurship, Khalid challenged us to identify weak spots and strengthen them daily. Throw yourself into the fire. Keep failing, keep learning. Growth isn’t a finish line, it’s an ongoing process.

Building the Future Together

As our time at Spiderum wrapped up, it was easy to see how much our two communities share: a hunger for growth, a belief in culture, and a commitment to shaping the future thoughtfully.

For PD, the visit was a reminder that in Hanoi, we’re a part of a wider ecosystem of dreamers, writers, leaders, and doers. We left Spiderum’s office that day stronger than when we entered. This is just the beginning. Infinite games, after all, don’t end. They keep going — and so do we.
