💰Raising $40,000
to build a children’s library in rural Vietnam 📚
Pixel Dreams is thrilled to partner with Vietnam Education Society, a Canadian charity with an inspiring origin story and a solid track record of bringing early childhood education to the rural and remote areas of Vietnam.
Together, we aim to raise $40,000 to build a children’s library that will serve as a beacon for early education towards brighter futures.
We’re inviting you to help light up the lives of countless underserved children in Vietnam.

On that particular Tuesday, a sudden rain gave birth to a rapid flood that would overtake the city of Hanoi. By the evening, the raging storm had knocked out the power grid across the city.
Back then, blackouts were the norm, as the majority of Vietnam was in a deep state of poverty, embarking a slow but steady recovery from a century of fighting for independence and survival.
Around 10:32pm, in a hospital room barely lit with a few oil lamps, a baby girl let out her very first cry of being alive, after arriving two weeks behind schedule (which is something she still sometimes does today!)
Her exhausted mom was relieved from the prolonged labour. Her tired dad held tight their firstborn daughter, alight while standing in one wet sandal (after bicycling through the rising water).
Today, this baby has grown into a mother of two, a mentor to young people with hunger for growth, and a contributing member of society through her work at Pixel Dreams. Her name is Lan Le, aka Lannie. Even though she lives, works, and contributes in Canada, she continues to find ways to give back to her mother-father-land.

In celebration of Lannie’s 40th birthday, the Pixel Dreams team decided to raise funds to make one of Lannie’s dreams happen a lot sooner.
We’re thrilled to share with you, our partnership with Vietnam Educational Society, a Canadian charity with a heartwarming story and a spectacular track record.
Our goal is to raise a modest $40,000 to build a library in rural Vietnam in January 2024.

- Can you tell me more about the charityWe’ve done quite a bit of homework, and have had some great conversations with the president. The charity Vietnam Education Society has an amazing track record, almost every single penny goes towards the work being done. Zero towards employees and administrative fees.
