Bold, creative, and growth-focused, Pixel Dreams’ Kids Bootcamp continues to inspire the next generation. Previous boot camps were tailored to meet kids at their level and stretch them! For Summer 2024, cadets were immersed in the workplace environment and challenged to adapt, contribute, and rise to new heights.
Philo: A quest for creativity and courage.
Philo’s energy and focus set the tone for the summer bootcamp’s spirit. He launched TriQuest: The Lost Crystals an online Scratch game he created just in time for his 13th birthday, which he celebrated at the Pixel Dreams office. Philo’s dedication and hard work were evident as he gave himself a daily coding challenge throughout the summer. Philo’s ability to blend strategy with creativity was inspiring as we watched him challenge himself with determination, teamwork, and the right approach.
Sophie: Sparking ideas and connection.
During the bootcamp, Sophie dedicated herself to creating a collection of crochet characters, affectionately known as ‘Sophie’s Stuffies’. This artistic endeavour showcased her creativity and craftsmanship, culminating in a Fireside Chat where she presented her work to an enthusiastic and supportive crowd. Rising to the challenge of public speaking, Sophie shared the stories behind each creation, gaining confidence and inspiring others with her journey. Her experience highlights the impact of combining art with personal development.
Isabel: The joy of first experiences.
At just four years old, Isabel made her bootcamp debut with a focus on exploration and foundational skills. Her activities were tailored to her age, emphasizing fine motor development through sticker books and crafts. A collection of picture books helped her develop her reading skills. She built social confidence while charming the Pixel Dreams team by collecting autographs in a special notebook. Isabel’s experience demonstrated how the bootcamp welcomes and nurtures children at every stage of development.
