In a geographically dispersed world, sometimes the stars align. And when they do, you get a room full of PDTers and the largest Weekly Wrap-Up in PDT history.
A Gathering Years in the Making
It’s not every week you get to feel the full gravity of the tribe.
Following on the momentum of our Summer Getaway, local and international PDTers alike gathered around the boardroom for our Weekly Wrap-Up. Jules and Sang from Việt Nam, and Harvey AKA Enhance’s visit from England, all got to experience their first weekly wrap-up ever.

In addition to the fulsome roster, we had two more visiting guests: Sasha AKA Vision, a PDT OG from 2012, and Tyler AKA Optimism, the newest part-time PDTer. Past, present, and future; all together in the same space.
Looking around the room, it felt so right. I am so proud of our culture. It felt like wrapping a bow on the gift of Summer Getaway.
Ritual in Full Form
For the uninitiated, Weekly Wrap-Up is how we close the week.
It’s a moment of pause, a space to reflect, and a ritual of recognition. We gather to share kudos and show appreciation for the week’s collaborations and synchronicities. It’s the exclamation point at the end of a typical week at Pixel Dreams.

But while Wrap-Up is weekly for Toronto, our international team has never been able to attend — not even virtually — due to time zone differences. So this gathering was more than a Wrap-up: it was a debut!
I loved observing the team saying thanks to each other. Everyone is equal; whether you’re LT or not, busy or not, everyone is encouraged to gather and say thanks.
After-Wrap Adventure
As they say, after the party is the after party… or in this case, team adventures!
The Motion Team celebrated the final day of Harvey’s visit with a neighbourhood outing. We set foot along Queen West, stopping at two of Toronto’s cultural landmarks: Sonic Boom and Graffiti Alley, before settling in for an Italian dinner. Music, street art, and food: A perfect nod to PDT’s cultural roots.

Meanwhile, another PDT contingent celebrated together with a family-style Vietnamese dinner in another location.

More Than a Meeting
In a world of remote work and asynchronous everything, presence is a luxury. Last week, we were rich in it. And we don’t take it for granted.
